I am a warm, affectionate, and validating therapist with an eclectic and humorous style. My approach is emotion-focused, trauma-informed, and rooted in anti-oppression. I believe in exploring what happened to people instead of what is wrong with them, recognizing the impact of trauma and oppression on their health, and acting from a place of validation, compassion, and empowerment. I like connecting with people and helping them feel seen, heard, understood and believed. I’m passionate about supporting clients to overcoming childhood and attachment trauma; live courageously and challenging old trauma/fear narratives; find their inner wisdom and learn to trust their gut and emotions; standing up against oppressive environments and finding belonging in safe spaces; appreciate themselves just as they are; find their life purpose and connect with their spirituality. I use a range of approaches, including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy, and approaches for single or complex trauma treatment. I have lived experience as a cis-woman, neurodivergent, POC, Latina immigrant.

If you are interested in working with me, you can contact me by phone or email to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, ask questions, and see if we are a good fit. If we decide to work together, we will meet for weekly or biweekly sessions, depending on your availability and preference. Each session will last for 50 minutes and will be conducted online via a secure video platform. During our sessions, we will collaborate on setting goals, exploring issues, finding solutions, and celebrating progress. I will offer you feedback, guidance, support, and encouragement along the way. I believe that therapy is a collaborative and dynamic process, and I strive to make it a positive and rewarding experience for you.

Approach to Therapy

Healing is a journey — not a destination.

I take an integrative, client-centered approach — each session is tailored to your needs, goals, and lived experience. Whether you’re navigating difficult emotions, relationship challenges, or internalized pressure to “have it all figured out,” therapy is a space where healing doesn’t require perfection — just the courage to begin.

Together, we’ll build practical tools for emotional resilience, deepen your self-compassion, and help you rediscover your voice and your path — with clarity and care.

My work is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and rooted in anti-oppressive principles. I deeply honour the ways systemic and cultural contexts shape our experiences and aim to make therapy an affirming, inclusive space.

I’m drawn to working with parents who find themselves losing themselves in self-sacrifice, individuals navigating burnout or perfectionism, those moving through addiction, those experiencing isolation or feeling like they don’t quite fit or belong, and people carrying a sense of ongoing heaviness.

I offer a steady, non-judgmental space where you don’t have to hold it all together. My work is collaborative and paced with care, recognizing that your ways of coping have developed for a reason. Together, we can begin to make sense of what you’ve been carrying, build self-compassion, and create space for change that feels manageable, safe, and sustainable.

My perspective is also shaped by my experience as an educator, a parent, and a crisis responder, which continues to inform how I support people navigating the challenges of everyday life alongside deeper experiences of stress and suffering.
